Schoolyard BullyingSchoolyard Bullying by Pamela “Penlady” Jones is a nonfiction book about child bullying for parents and children – for both the bully and the one being bullied. It provides a realistic view of bullying’s effect on children, why children bully others, and how parents and children can resolve the issue of bullying.

The book is conveniently broken up into several informative sections, so that if you wish, you can read only the parts that apply to you, but I recommend reading them all to gain a broad perspective of the impact child bullying has on all parties involved. The book provides details on what child bullying entails, what a child bully is like, how to recognize child bullying, what online bullying is all about, and more topics to help people deal with child bullying in a positive and effective way.

Schoolyard Bullying is a great resource for parents, teachers, and children alike. It explains what adults and children should and shouldn’t do if a child is being bullied. It also covers how a parent should handle the situation if their child is the one bullying. The book provides many helpful suggestions for combating child bullying. Lastly, there are helpful resources in the back of the book for support on stopping bullying.

I highly recommend this well-rounded, succinct book full of helpful tips and information for everyone who is exposed to bullying. Even adults who are being bullied – or are a bully and want to stop – will benefit from this book. You will be glad you picked up this book, because it will help you resolve your bullying situation.
